KEY TERMS & TIPS:
What is a Seat Type?
The category that you can add to your seats on your Reserved Seating Venue Plan.
These will show for internal team members and ticket buyers e.g. Access Seats or Restricted View.
How do I create a Seat Type?
From the Tools page, where you can select the Seat Types option and enter the details.

How do I add a Seat Type to my Venue Plan?
On the Venues page where you can select the Venue Plans tab, and then Manage Seat Types on your Venue Plan. See our Step-by-Step guide below for more info.
You just need to set up your Venue Plan before you add it on - more info on how to do that here.
What is a Channel?
The place where tickets are sold, e.g. Online Channel, Box Office, Ticket Agent, etc.

How can my Channels see my Seat Types?
When entering the details for your Seat Type, you can select which Channels from the list will be able to see the information.

What do I need to do before creating a Seat Type?
Sign up to a Line-Up account.
Set up your Organisation.
Create your Venue and Venue Plan(s).
Create your Channels.
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE:

3. Add Details:
a) Name - for internal use, this will not be visible to ticket buyers at any point. If you want to specify your Seat Type for ticket buyers, you can do so on Step 3d
b) Tags - for internal use only. This will group your Seat Types and to create rules for certain Seat Types at checkout
c) Icon - select from the drop-down. This will display for users of the selected Seat Type Channels - both internal team members in the Box Office checkout or ticket buyers - wherever the seat is shown
d) Note - optional, visible for team members and ticket buyers. This can be used for guidance about the seats this Seat Type is added to
e) Note Background Colour - select from the colour chart. This will appear behind the Note and in some cases the Seat Icon when it is shown
f) Channels - select which Channels are able to see this Seat Type information. When selected, the Seat Type Icon will display on the Venue Plan for users of this Channel - both team members and ticket buyers (you will need to create your Channels prior to this step. See here for more info)

5. Archive or Edit Seat Type if you need to make changes by selecting on your Seat Type list
6. Add Seat Types to Venue Plan:
a) Select and then the Venue Plans tab
b) On your Reserved Seating Venue Plan, select
c) Use the Select Tool to select your chosen seats
d) Select Assign Seat Type and select your Seat Type from the dropdown
