Scroll down for the Step-by-Step Guide on how to create a Discount
KEY TERMS & TIPS:
How do Discounts work on Line-Up?
Discounts work as new discounted prices you can add to your Event and which are added to a basket as a separate price to your standard tickets.
You can create them as Discount codes first, with specific visibility and Coupons and then add them as a new price to the Price Table on your Event.
Then at checkout, the discounted price can be added to the basket with or without Coupon entry, depending on how you set up the Discount.
What is a Coupon?
The codes that your customers will enter when applying a discount - this is different to the name of your Discount as a whole.
You can have as many Coupons as you like per discount, with different Start and End times if you wish.
This is helpful for reporting as you can see the figures for multiple codes for an offer/campaign.
You have the choice between uploading them, creating them manually or to have them automatically generated.

Do I need to link Discounts to Performances in order for it to show in the Box Office?
Not necessarily - as long as it has been granted the correct Channel access, it will be available on all performances for those channels once it's created.
However, if you wanted to control exactly which performances you would like it to be available for then you would need to link it via the Performances page of the Event.
If after that you would like to link the Discount to another Event, then you would need to link it to those specific performances as well.
How do I apply my Discount at Box Office?
On the Box Office page, once you have selected your event and performance you want to sell tickets for, you can then select Add Discount Code and enter the coupon code to show your discounted prices, which you can then add to your basket.
However, if you have selected the Automatically apply discount to channels? option for your Discount, then the discounted prices will automatically show as an option to select alongside your full priced items. For more info, go here.
