If you're undertaking some Facebook advertising for your show or event, then you can easily add a Facebook tracking pixel to the relevant ticket widget so you can re-target customers who start but don't complete the booking process.
To add a Facebook tracking pixel, simply follow these steps:
- Get your Facebook pixel ID (for more information on the Facebook Pixel, please see Facebook's help pages directly)
- From the pixel embed code, take the pixel ID - this should be a number. You do not need all the embed code for your Line-Up booking widget, just the pixel ID
- In your Line-Up account, open the event page and go to the "Embed" tab at that top.
- On the widget customisation panel, scroll down to the "Facebook Tracking Pixel" field and enter the pixel ID you have copied from your Facebook account
- Click "Update"
Once that's done, your Facebook tracking pixel will be connected to your ticket widget, and you can re-target customers with Facebook Ads
If a Facebook pixel has been added to a Line-Up booking widget it will track through the whole booking flow. This includes tracking when the widget first loads, when items are added/removed from the basket and if the booking is completed. The total value of the booking is also passed back to the tracking pixel so complete conversion metrics can be seen in Facebook analytics.
This is all automatic and does not required any additional set up as long as the Facebook pixel ID has been added to the booking widget.
