For taking tickets off-sale, there are the following options:
1. Change the performance status to hidden
This will hide all tickets for that performance plus the performance itself from the customer facing ticket widget so it is not available. This is the quickest way to take all tickets off-sale for a performance - please note though, the performance date/time itself won't show in the customer facing widget
To do this, follow these steps:
- Search for the event in the event list and click through to the event management section
- Click on the "Performance & Tickets" tab
- From the list, select the performance which has the tickets you want to make changes to
- At the top of the individual performance management page, click the edit button
- On the pop-up, change the status from "On Sale" to "Hidden"
- Click "Submit" and the performance will then be hidden from the customer facing ticket widget
2. Change the individual ticket status to hidden or inactive
The "Hidden" ticket status will hide that ticket from the customer facing ticket widget, but means it will still be available in the issue tickets widget
The "Inactive" ticket status will remove the ticket from the customer facing ticket widget, as well as the issue tickets widget so it can't be booked anywhere
To change an individual tickets status follow these steps:
- Search for the event in the event list and click through to the event management section
- Click on the "Performance & Tickets" tab
- From the list, select the performance which has the tickets you want to make changes to
- On the individual performance management page, scroll to the ticket section at the bottom
- Click on the ticket you wish to change
- On the next page, the ticket management page, click the edit button
- From here you can change the status of the ticket to one of the following (choose either the hidden or inactive options, depending on if you still want ticket to be available in the issue tickets widget):
- Public tickets will show to customers in the customer facing ticket widget ie tickets which customers can book themselves, online.
- Hidden tickets will only show in the issue tickets widget available only via your account and any account that has Front-of-House user access permission to that account, ie tickets that can't be booked by customers themselves online.
- Inactive tickets can't be purchased anywhere
- Once you have made the changes to the ticket, click submit and those updates will go live
3. Change the inventory number on the ticket to 0 so the ticket shows as sold out
If you change the ticket inventory to 0, the ticket will still show in both the customer facing widget and the issue tickets widget, but it will show as sold out on both so tickets can't be booked in either.
To change the ticket inventory, follow these steps:
- Search for the event in the event list and click through to the event management section
- Click on the "Performance & Tickets" tab
- From the list, select the performance which has the tickets you want to make changes to
- On the individual performance management page, scroll to the ticket section at the bottom
- Click on the ticket you wish to change
- On the next page, the ticket management page, click the edit button
- On the edit page, change the inventory available to 0
- Once you have made the changes to the ticket, click submit and those updates will go live and that ticket will now show as sold out
