KEY TERMS & TIPS:
What can I do on the Box Office page?
It is where you can sell tickets for your events and also put through exchanges and refunds.

How do I sell tickets?
Via your Channel, selecting the performances on the calendar and then the tickets you want to sell, before adding customer and payment details.

Why can't I see the performances or tickets for my event?
This could be because you haven't completed all the steps in Event Creation.
In order to sell tickets for your event, you will need to enable Channel access for your event, performances, prices and payment methods.
You will also need to assign Price Profiles to your performances and attach your Delivery Methods to your event settings.

What is a Channel?
The place where tickets are sold, e.g. Online Channel, Box Office, Ticket Agent, etc.
You can set an On/Off Sale Schedule for your Channels on your Performances page and this will control access to tickets on the Box Office page.

What is a Delivery Method?
The type of delivery for the tickets for your event / how you would like your customer to receive them, e.g. E-tickets or Post.

What is a Payment Method?
The type of payment options to buy or sell tickets with, e.g. Cash, Card, Voucher, etc.
You'll need to set these up and enable Channel access in your Organisation settings prior to this step.

What do I need to do before selling tickets on Box Office?
Sign up to a Line-Up account.
Set up your Organisation.
What do I need to have created by this point?
Your Venues.
Your Channels.
Your Adjusters.
Your Event by completing the Info page.
Your Performances.
Your Price Tables and Price Profiles.
Your Delivery Methods and Opt Ins.
Your Purchase Flows.
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE:
1. Select Tickets:
a) Select
b) Select which Channel you'd like to sell tickets through
c) Select your Event
d) Select the performance you want to sell tickets for from the calendar (NOTE - if you can't see any performances, this might be because you haven't granted the correct access yet. See here for more info)
e) Select next to the ticket(s) you want to sell - once you add your tickets, the tickets will be reserved and the transaction will begin. Want to change the Reservation Expiry time for your Channel? Edit the Booking Time Limit
f) Select to go to your Basket
2. Edit Basket:
a) Check that the Basket details are correct. To check Adjuster details click and to remove any items from the Basket select
or
b) Select Delivery Method from the drop down. You will have needed to create these and attach to your Event prior to this step. See here for more info
c) Add Customer details, including First, Last Name and Email Address. Select if you don't want to add these details (NOTE - you will not be able to skip customer if you have a mandatory Opt In. See below)
d) Select your Opt In if you have one. You will have needed to create these and attach to your Event prior to this step. See here for more info
e) Select to go to payment
3. Process Payment:
a) Select Payment Method from the drop down (you will have needed to create these and grant Channel access prior to this step. See here for more info)
b) Paying for the entire order with this payment method? Select 'Pay total order using this method'
c) Want to split the order between this and another payment method? Select 'Pay partial order balance using this method' and enter the amount to pay using this method
d) Not ready to complete payment but want to come back to it? Select and choose from the following time options for when you want this reservation to expire (if you're ready to complete payment, skip to step 3e):
- Never
- Specific Time - select date and time options from the dropdown
- Select
- When you want to continue the transaction, select
to return to your basket
e) Ready to complete payment? Select - NOTE, the Payment Received line must match the Subtotal line in order to for the transaction to be completed. If you have processed payment for part of the order, then you must put through the remaining amount. For more info about payments see here
f) Check Basket details. If you want to make any changes or add more items, go back to the Customer and/or Tickets section
g) Happy? Select and you will be taken to the Order page where you can view all the details
